₹3.81 crore cyber fraud: Another mule acct holder held

The CBI (Mumbai) has arrested an absconding accused in connection with the transfer of Rs3.81 crore ina single day into a mule account on July 2 in a cyber-fraud case.

The agency had registered the case against the mule account holder, identified as Neeraj, unidentified cyber fraudsters and bank officials. As per the case details, the amount was transferred to over a 100 other mule accounts opened pan India in the first layer. This was further transferred/ layered to thousands of accounts before reaching the actual fraudsters.
