The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has stepped up action against illegal encroachments around the Narendra Modi Stadium—placing the controversial Asaram Ashram firmly in its crosshairs.

- FPJ News Service

The move comes as part of a broader development plan to build an Olympic Village and a world-class sports complex, positioning Ahmedabad as a future global sporting destination.

Civic officials confirmed that the Asaram Ashram stands on state government land estimated to be worth nearly %500 crore. A recent AMC survey revealed at least 32 unauthorised structures within the ashram premises, raising serious questions about longstanding encroachments in one of the city’s most. strategically important zones along the Sabarmati.
