The Kerala High Court on Saturday stayed the arrest of absconding Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil in a rape and forced abortion case, even as a sessions court refused interim protection to him in a second sexual assault case and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described the High Court order as a “natural judicial step.”
The MLA, expelled from the Congress earlier this week, has been missing for ten days as fresh allegations continue to surface.
