Forest, Wildlife, and Environment Minister Eshwar B. Khandre on Saturday inaugurated the state-level Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Bengaluru, along with seven divisional control centres, calling them a vital step in tackling rising human-wildlife conflicts through technology-driven solutions across Karnataka.
Speaking at Aranya Bhavan during the launch, Khandre explained that villagers and the public can report wildlife sightings or forest-related incidents by calling the department’s helpline at 1926. Once a report is received, the ICCC forwards it to the relevant divisional office, and senior officials monitor the complaint until it is fully resolved.
