Collector | If found guilty pest control co will face strict action

The shocking death of two newborns in as many days at Maharaja Yashwantrao (MY) Hospital, following rat-bite incidents in the neonatal ward, has triggered outrage and led to a high-level probe.

Collector Asheesh Singh, who inspected the hospital with MLA Golu Shukla on Wednesday, called the incident "extremely unfortunate" and announced that an external agency will investigate whether pest control was properly executed.

"If negligence is proven against Agile (the pest control contractor) or any other party, strict action will follow," Singh said during his inspection of the NICU and blood bank. He emphasized that accountability would not stop at frontline staff but extend to all levels of hospital management.
