Vijay pledges full support to victims' families

Actor-turned-politic ian Vijay, leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, has committed to covering all expenses of the families who lost loved ones in the tragedy at a rally in Karur.
He met dozens of the bereaved at a private hotel in Mahabalipuram, where he offered personal assurances and financial backing. During a closed-door session, he reportedly became emotional while viewing photographs of children who were victims of the stampede.
The meeting comes after the TVK credited ₹20 lakh to each of 39 families who lost their members in the stampede during a rally organised by the party on 27 September in Veluswamypuram, Karur district.
