VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN R-LINE 4 MOTION REVIEW
The Daily Guardian
|October 09, 2025
Volkswagen brought the all-new Tiguan R-Line a few months ago as its flagship vehicle in India, and I finally got the opportunity recently to test it for a few days.

I drove it primarily in the NCR region but my review will cater to every potential buyer of this vehicle, irrespective of the city they live in. I shall start with the design first.
DESIGN
The Tiguan was always a clean design and I am happy to report that the new vehicle retains that cleanliness of form. There are no unnecessary slashes, cuts, or creases, and VW designers have still managed to give the Tiguan R-Line a more youthful persona. For example, if the previous Tiguan appealed more to those in their mid to late 40s, the new vehicle broadens that appeal where now even those in their 20s and 30s would also love its appearance.
However, a missed opportunity is the lack of sporty exhaust tips, which would have been perfectly in line with the R-Line moniker. The gorgeous alloy wheels and subtle R badges do perfect justice to it though, and so does the silhouette of the car-you immediately get to know that it's not another humdrum crossover and there's something special about it. An "R-Line" badge at the rear is sorely missed though.
Also, I so wish my media unit came in Red as the Tiguan R-Line looks the best in that shade of blood. The one you see here in pictures is some fancy shade of Green with an even fancier name (as is usual with almost every manufacturer), and would be preferred by those who want even their cars to carry the same enigmatic air they've managed to build around their personalities.
Black, White, Silver, and Blue make up the other four colour options. Of course, they aren't again your usual crayon shades but, like I mentioned earlier, fancy ones with even fancier nomenclatures.
