Torrent Power commits investment of Rs 64,000 cr in renewable energy projects

Torrent Power Limited, the integrated power utility of Torrent Group on Monday committed an investment of over Rs 64,000 crore in renewable energy projects at 'RE-Invest 2024' in Gandhinagar.

As per the company, the investment will provide potential employment to 26,000 people.
In its filing with the exchanges, the company added that it has submitted two 'Shapath Patras' to the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy at the 4th Edition of RE-Invest.
As per the first 'Shapath Patra', the company is aiming to achieve 10 gigawatts (GW) of installed renewable energy (RE) capacity by 2030, with an investment of Rs 57,000 crore.
This investment is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for around 25,000 people, as per the filing.
