THE TICKING TIME BOMB: SILENT ORGAN BURNOUT IN INDIA'S YOUNG ADULTS

We're seeing such a worrying trend that is in our clinics because of a silent epidemic with multiorgan dysfunction impacting impressive Indians during their late 20s and 30s. It's not a sudden collapse, rather a gradual insidious process I've come to call "Silent Organ Burnout."

Our vital organs, the liver, kidneys, pancreas, also the heart, show signs of premature wear and tear, with them quietly losing their functional reserve, unlike a car engine that seizes up all at once.

This is not just something affecting the elderly. It can affect other age groups too. More young people, a group seen as quite healthy by many individuals, now show problems linked to middle age: fatty liver, high blood pressure, greater blood sugar, also early kidney issues.

So, what is it that this burnout is being fuelled by? Modern day lifestyle choices now. Our food culture dependent increasingly on processed foods high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats is a primary culprit.
