Nainital-Where The Mountains Whisper And Lakes Listen
The Daily Guardian
|July 14, 2025
Set amidst the enchanting hills of Uttarakhand, Nainital is a perfect blend of mysticism, scenic beauty, and adventure.
With its shimmering lakes, ancient temples, colonial charm, and nearby wildlife escapes, this popular hill station continues to captivate travelers from across the globe. The scenic paradise that charms every traveler with its mystical lakes, spiritual temples, and lush greenery had cast a magic charm on me. The place has become almost synonymous with summer retreat where I feel one with Mother Nature.
Naina Devi Temple, the Spiritual Beacon caught my attention as I was sipping hot tea sitting atop a nearby hill. The distant bells had a magnetic effect on me.
Perched on the northern bank of Naini Lake, the Naina Devi Temple holds great religious significance for all Hindu devotees and the distant magical bells had almost charmed me. Dedicated to Goddess Naina Devi, this temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths and is a must visit. A local and an employee of Naini Retreat, named Pratibha, took me to the sacred place through meandering paths of hills. The slippery and wet road made the downhill journey somewhat adventurous. I finally reached the sacred Naina Devi temple. The feeling of having a glimpse of the Deity was so magical that I soon immersed myself in spiritual calm.
