Intense lobbying underway for lone Rajya Sabha seat in Haryana

However, the schedule for the election has not been announced yet by the Election Commission. But several party leaders, especially those who faced defeat in assembly elections, were making rounds to Delhi to strengthen their claim.

As per internal party sources, senior BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi was reportedly struggling hard to get the seat for his son and former Adampur MLA Bhavya Bishnoi. Bhavya is the grandson of former Chief Minister late Bhajan Lal and was the first member of the Bishnoi family who faced defeat from Congress' Chander Prakash by a margin of 1268 votes. This was the Bishnoi family's first defeat since 1968 from Adampur. Besides Bhavya, the seat was also represented by several members from the Bishnoi family, including Bhajan Lal, his wife Jasma Devi, Kuldeep Bishnoi, and his wife Renuka Bishnoi.
