INTERVIEW: ROHIT PAWAR

Everywhere in Maharashtra, we are getting a good response, says NCP-SP's Rohit Pawar

NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar, who comes from the family of Sharad Pawar, is sure of getting 160-170 seats for MVA. Rohit talks to ITV Network Anand Singh about polls issues as he campaigns for NCP-SP seat.

Anand: welcome to ITV network, sir the way you have been campaigning for the MVA, what sort of a response have you received till now?

Rohit Pawar: Everywhere in Maharashtra, we are getting a good response. Our estimate is that we will get around 160-170 seats, if you look at our meetings, people come on their own and the atmosphere is very positive. We never pay them. So we see that positivity in people. We talk on real issues, like the issues of farmers, youth, employment, women safety, so we discuss on those. Whenever BJP MPs come, then they say 'katenge toh batenge', people say this does not give us food to eat or any employment, so these things will not work in Maharashtra. People feel we have picked up real issues and that is why victory will be ours, that is what the MVA feels.

Anand: When it comes to your opponent, how do you see the competition panning out, like it has been seen that whenever you are campaigning you go out and show the people the report card of the current status, so how much support do you think you are getting from the people?
