ECI orders final prep for special roll revision

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed all Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) to complete preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across States and Union Territories, the poll body said in a statement on Thursday.
The directive came as the ECI concluded its two-day Conference of CEOs on SIR preparedness at the India International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Management (IIIDEM) in New Delhi.
