DELHI HC STAYS WUSHU BODY'S DISAFFILIATION NOTICE AGAINST DAWA

The Delhi High Court has put a temporary halt ona disaffiliation notice issued by the Wushu Association of India (WAD) against the Delhi Amateur Wushu Association (DAWA), granting the latter interim reliefand allowingit tocontinue selecting athletes for national and interstate championships. The order was passed by Justice Sachin Dattaon November 26 while hearing DAWA’s petition challenging the disaffiliation order dated July 24.

In its directive, the Court stated that “till the next date of hearing, the operation of the impugned Disaffiliation Notice dated 24.07.2025 shall remain stayed.” As part of the interim relief, DAWA has been permitted to continue selecting and forwarding the names of athletes from Delhi for participation in all national and interstate events.
