Controversy hits Rajasthan women's cricket: Selection marred by politics and nepotism

Despite government claims of promoting sports and nurturing talent, Rajasthan's cricketing ecosystem continues to suffer from political interference and internal favouritism.
The latest controversy surrounds the Senior Women's T20 competition and the upcoming Challenger Trophy in Jaipur, where serious questions have emerged over the transparency of the selection process.
Players are scheduled to report at the RCA Academy on August 27 for the tournament taking place from August 28 to 30, 2025. However, allegations are mounting over the selection of certain players. Insiders claim that the process was neither performance-based nor transparent. When contacted, RCA Adhoc Committee Chairman D.D. Kumawat denied all allegations, calling them baseless and insisting the process was fair.
