CM Gupta flags Off Delhi-Baraut inter-state AC electric bus service

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday flagged off the fully-electric Delhi-Baraut Inter-State AC Bus Service from Maharana Pratap ISBT, signaling the revival of Delhi’ interstate bus services after a gap of nearly 18 years, Along with this launch, the CM also unveiled the Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS), created in collaboration with Canara Bank, and rolled out the “Chalo App” on the ONDC platform to encourage digital ticketing.

On the same occasion, she handed over modern PoS machines to conductors of the newly introduced interstate buses.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Delhi Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Baghpat MP Dr. Rajkumar Sangwan, senior Transport Department officials, and representatives from Canara Bank. As part of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Canara Bank and Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) for the deployment of AFCS across the capital’s bus fleet.
