ROLE AS COURT POET

As Prithviraj Chauhan’s court poet, Chand Bardai’s primary responsibility was to document the king’s victories, battles, and administrative achievements. However, his work went beyond simple historical recording. He skillfully infused Prithviraj Raso with literary elements—vivid depictions of warfare, heroic idealism, moral instruction, and cultural ethos—transforming the poem into an enduring epic that celebrates the Rajput code of honor and valor.
