BJP stages protest against Kejriwal over 'Sheesh Mahal' controversy

The Delhi BJP staged a massive protest outside the residence of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, November 21, 2024, over alleged extravagant expenditures on the decoration of his official residence.
Thousands of BJP workers, led by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, assembled on Ashoka Road and marched toward Kejriwal's residence on Ferozeshah Road, which they termed "unauthorized." Chanting slogans, the protesters demanded answers, asking, "Kejriwal, explain where did the money come from to decorate the 'Sheesh Mahal' bungalow?"
At Ferozeshah Road, police had set up double barricades and deployed heavy security to prevent the demonstrators from reaching the residence. Despite the resistance, Delhi BJP President Sachdeva and hundreds of leaders and workers were detained and taken to the Parliament Street police station. They were later released after being issued a warning.
