EGYPTIAN PERFUME OILS: INGREDIENTS LIKE FRANKINCENSE, MYRRH, AMBER
In a world that often prioritises fast-paced living, luxury can seem like a distant dream. Having travelled to Egypt and experienced the lasting effects of perfumed oils led me on a journey to find similar products in South Africa.
One such locally distributed brand stood out not only for its scent but its definitive, delicate bottles with beautiful designs that you can refill.
Tapputi Egyptian Perfume Oils are redefining what it means to indulge in opulence - one drop at a time.
Founded by Alishia van Deventer, the brand is celebrating its second anniversary in South Africa, offering a unique experience rooted in heritage, craftsmanship and authenticity.
A Legacy of Perfumery
Tapputi Egyptian Perfume Oils are inspired by the world's first recorded female chemist, Tapputi Belatekallim. This ancient Babylonian figure symbolises strength, creativity, and elegance -qualities mirrored in the brand's offerings.
The oils, crafted with 100% undiluted A-grade ingredients, are alcohol free, ensuring a gentle, long-lasting fragrance that evolves uniquely on each individual.
Van Deventer's journey began six years ago during a visit to Egypt, where her daughter married an Egyptian man and resides.
Enchanted by the rich cultural history and exquisite scents of Egyptian perfume oils, she spent four years developing the brand.
Today, Tapputi represents a blend of tradition and modernity, offering South Africans the chance to indulge in authentic luxury without breaking the bank.
