South African sports fans are set to take over the streets of Perth today and tomorrow as two major events take place in the western city of Australia, with both the world champion Springboks and reigning UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis in action.

At 11.55am SA time today, the Boks take on the Wallabies in their second Rugby Championship match of the season, after winning 33-7 last week in Brisbane, and then tomorrow morning (SA time) Du Plessis goes up against big Ultimate Fighting Championship rival Israel Adesanya in the defence of his middleweight belt.

Thousands of the 190 000 Australians who were born in South Africa but now call Perth home are expected to watch the Boks in action at the Optus Stadium, with a capacity of 61 000.
