FIRST T20: MARKRAM LEADS SA TO EASY VICTORY OVER THE WEST INDIES
With some members of their World Cup squad being rested, captain Aiden Markram was delighted with the performance of the national side last night after the Proteas thumped West Indies by nine wickets in the first T20 International in Paarl.
Ahead of the global showpiece next month, the SA team started their buildup in winning fashion with a dominant performance.
"There are guys who aren't here who are good cricketers, so it shows we have great depth. It's a good space to be in for the national team," Markram said after the game.
