Leaders Keep Stumbling

Disastrous Bill will ensure there's no-one to protect law-abiding citizens.

- ISAAC MASHABA

No matter how one wants to sweeten what is unfolding in South Africa, the reality is that our government is stumbling from one disaster to the next with no end in sight.

Just recently, a sitting MP called for the death of Israelis and US citizens, as well as the execution of people who support a certain view. As usual, no action will be taken.

A dangerous and disastrous delusion is that the government of national unity (GNU) and a faction in the ANC can fix the economy they broke.

Since 1994, corruption has exceeded R700 billion while national debt has risen to R310 billion.

A recent terrifying report on the Government Employees' Pension Fund exposed how the cadres in the ANC stole more than R10 billion a year. This is a crime of epic proportions and 2019 was the key that unlocked the looting of this fund.

Apart from this unchecked looting, the government's disastrous economic policies have stifled development, created investor hesitancy and added to unemployment and poverty.

It refuses to cut our bloated, non-functioning civil service and cannot cut the budget as it would mean less money to be stolen, and an end to cadre-ism.

The proposed and disastrous increase on value-added tax is intended to fill the coffers to enable more theft while impoverishing the people.
