JSE takes a dive on SA's tariffs

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) took a dive of around 3.5% by 1pm yesterday after US President Donald Trump's latest tariffs broadside against most nations, including South Africa.

In early morning trade, the All-Share Index (Alsi) plunged over 4.5% at one point, almost falling below the 85 000 points mark. However, the local market recovered some lost ground later in the day.
