VEGAN: MADE OF POLYPROPYLENE ROPE IN NICARAGUA
It's sandals, but with a back story. And until recently, anyone wanting a pair of eco-friendly Nomadic State of Mind sandals had to factor in the cost of a flight to get them.
That was until last year when nomad Nadine Sacre brought the brand to South Africa on her layover on the southern tip of Africa, another stop after living on several continents.
She has lived all over the world, and has always had a love for fashion and a taste for all things beautiful. "I am a nomad in a sense," she said. In each country where she lived, she said that she found the fashion, local designers and the cultural nuances within the environment irresistible.
Sacre was introduced to the brand while still living in France, and when she first slipped on a pair it was as if they were made for one another. "I still wear them today," she said. "They're comfortable, durable, and machine washable, so what more could you ask for?"
