FORM: TALENTED COLT RETURNS TO RACING AFTER THIRD PLACE IN A GRADE 1 IN KZN
CLASS PERFORMER. Chronicle King won the Grade 2 Golden Horseshoe over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville in July and Muzi Yeni will be abord the colt in his comeback run at Turffontein tomorrow. Picture: Candiese Lenferna

Last week produced some lovely racing and well done to Sean Tarry, as well as all the owners for winning both Grade 2 races, the Betway Joburg Spring Challenge and the Betway Joburg Fillies & Mares Spring Challenge, with Tin Pan Alley and Callmegetrix respectively.
I will be back in the saddle tomorrow and have a total of eight carded rides. I am thoroughly looking forward to getting back into action and ride some winners.
Racing tomorrow takes place at Turffontein on the Inside track and there is a nine-race card to preview.
The headliner comes up in Race 6, the Allez France Stakes over 2200m.
Race 1 is a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1450m and I ride Stone Of Scone who I make one of my best rides on the day and my value bet on the card as well.
I think trainer Roy Magner has found a perfect opportunity for her to shed her maiden tag and if she settles better than last time out, I will be very disappointed if she doesn't win.
Winds Of Grace was disappointing last time out at short odds, but she goes around the bend again and that could make the difference so I rate her as my main danger.
Top Shelf Teddy ran a better race last time out and although she returns from a small break, she is definitely one for the shortlist.
Duchess Of Paloma has her second run in the province and if the second run after a rest doesn't come too soon then she'll be in the money.
Race 2 is a Maiden Plate for over 1450m and I ride Elusive Red who will need to improve on debut to feature. But he does step up in trip and I'm hoping that will make some difference.

Could Maharaj's Test spot be in danger?
It feels silly to even suggest this, but based on the performances of the country's strong spin bowling contingent, Keshav Maharaj's place in the national Test team might be in danger.
