18 Killed in Horror N3 Crash

At least eighteen people were killed in a horrific collision involving a minibus taxi, a truck and light motor vehicle at Van Reenen's Pass in KwaZulu-Natal.
The accident happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Monday on the N3 toll route from KZN to Gauteng. The N3 remains closed to traffic.
It is understood that 13 adults and five children were killed in the accident.
Both the Tugela plaza and Tugela East ramp plazas were closed to northbound traffic at the time of the crash.
N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) spokesperson Thania Dhoogra said traffic was stacked between the Pyramids Motel and Van Reenen town while emergency services attended to the scene.
