Spurned worker racked up £3,500 on former employer's account

A DISGRUNTLED worker ordered more than £3,500-worth of lead from a building merchants on his ex-employer's account.

Liam Quinn had been working for RW Developments but became frustrated when work he'd been promised never materialised, a court heard.

The 37-year-old decided to go to a building merchants in Morpeth on three separate occasions to use the company's account to buy goods.

However, his dishonesty quickly came to light after RW Developments received an invoice and challenged the merchants, who said Quinn had been the one to make the purchases.
