Minteh aims to show what Magpies miss

YANKUBA Minteh is hoping to get one over Newcastle United again today - and show his old club once more what they have missed out on.

The Gambia winger is the ultimate ‘one who got away’ for Eddie Howe. The youngster was sold against Newcastle's wishes in the summer of 2024 after the club were forced to cash in due to PSR difficulties.

Minteh had been signed from Danish outfit Odense for just £5million, before being loaned out to Feyenoord for a successful spell under Arne Slot.

When he returned to Tyneside, it was expected he would challenge for a first team spot only to be sold to Brighton and Hove Albion for around £30million in a state of panic.
