NEWCASTLE United have learned the referee that will officiate their Champions League tie against Benfica to night and it's an appointment that has caused anger among fans.

The Magpies welcome Jose Mourinho's side to St James’ Park for their third game of this season's competition, looking to bounce back from Saturday's dismal defeat at Brighton.
A win against Mourinho's men would go a long way to helping them qualify for the next stage, but the announcement of the referee for the fixture has caused consternation on Tyneside.
