Derby ticket allocation is reduced
The Chronicle
|November 11, 2025
NEWCASTLE United have been given 2,528 tickets for the forthcoming Wear-Tyne derby against rivals Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, with the application process now open.
-
The two clubs have agreed to match their away allocation for the first Premier League derbies since the 2015-16 season. However, as Newcastle have decided to close the balcony seating in Level 7 of the away end for the St James’ Park match later this season, Sunderland have reduced the allocation offered to United fans.
Initial plans were to make 3,200 tickets available to away supporters, but St James’ Park safety concerns reduced that figure, and per the agreement, Sunderland have followed suit.
