The Chronicle
|April 16, 2026
SUNDERLAND'S loan players had another busy weekend with varying fortunes.
Simon Adingra played for Monaco as their six-match winning run came to an end as they lost to Paris 4-1.
Adingra played another 90 minutes for Le Rocher.
The 24-year-old winger has enjoyed a fruitful spell in France, scoring three goals and earning a recall into the Ivory Coast squad.
Monaco sit seventh in the Ligue 1 table.
Timotheé Pembele was in action for Le Havre in a 1-1 draw at Nice. He was a second-half substitute in the game as Le Havre gained another valuable point towards securing Ligue 1 safety.
The fullback’s appearance was his 30th game across two loan spells.
Nazariy Rusyn helped Arka Gdynia to a 2-2 draw at Cracovia. In a hectic game in Poland, the Ukrainian came on as a 74th minute substitute as Arka secured a valuable point in their bid for topflight safety.
Rusyn has featured 22 times in Ekstraklasa this season, scoring four goals.
Dan Neil was introduced in the second half at Portman Road as Ipswich Town beat Birmingham City 2-1.
It was a valuable win on home soil before they lost 2-0 at Portsmouth on Tuesday night.
Neil has now featured 12 times for Kieran McKenna’s side.
Anthony Patterson let in two goals as Millwall lost to Norwich City 2-0 - their automatic promotion hopes being dealt a blow.
