NEWCASTLE United, transfers and the struggle to sign key targets. It’s becoming a bit of a common theme now at St James’ Park, much to the annoyance of Eddie Howe and the Black and White faithful.
There can be no glossing over the fact this summer has been a disappointing one on the incoming transfer front. The Magpies have missed out on Bryan Mbeumo, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike, while also having held some interest in Matheus Cunha and Dean Huijsen. All of the above have either joined other clubs or are on the verge of doing so. Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford looks set to be the next transfer target
