Tories call on their former councillor to resign after switch to Reform

CHESHIRE West's Conservative group leader has called on a former colleague to 'do the honourable thing' and resign after he switched allegiance to Reform.
Councillor Graham Heatley had represented the Conservatives for Gowy Rural Ward on Cheshire West and Chester Council but has written to constituents stating that he has now defected to Nigel Farage's party.
In his letter he claimed that the Labour-run Cheshire West and Chester Council was 'broken' and 'failing rural communities.' But he also blasted Kemi Badenoch's leadership of the Tory Party.
He said: “The Labour council and the Labour government simply won't listen.
