WFI plans suspension challenge, convenes EC Meet on 16 January

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) plans to challenge its suspension by the Sports Ministry in court next week and has scheduled an Executive Committee meeting in New Delhi on 16 January to discuss the next steps.

The government suspended the newly-elected body on 24 December, citing violations of the National Sports Code and the WFI constitution, just three days after the Federation conducted its election.
