Nata Electronics Ltd has Tcommenced exporting a limited quantity of semiconductor chips packaged at a pilot line located in its Bengaluru research and development center.

The chips are being sent to Tata Electronics' partners in Japan, the US, and Europe, according to sources. Concurrently, the company is preparing to establish a new chip packaging unit in Morigaon, Assam, and a $10 billion chip foundry in Dholera, Gujarat. Additionally, Tata Electronics is in the final stages of the tape-out process for semiconductor chips ranging from 28 to 65 nanometers, along with some higher nodes.

Importantly, the exported chips are versatile and not customized for specific applications.
