RG Kar rape-murder victim's father moves Calcutta HC

The father of the doctor who was raped and murdered at Kolkata's R G Kar Medical College and Hospital has approached the Calcutta High Court, challenging a lower court order that denied his lawyers permission to inspect the crime scene.
In his petition, the father stated that he believes more than one person was present when the crime took place on August 9, 2024. While Sanjay Roy, a former civic volunteer with the city police, has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for the remainder of his natural life, the petitioner insists that others may also have been involved.
