IVCA's climate and sustainability council (2024-26) to spearhead green investment revolution in India

The Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) has introduced its new Climate and Sustainability Council for the term 2024-26, co-chaired by Pratibha Jain, Group General Counsel and Head of Strategy at Everstone Group, and Akhilesh Tilotia, a public policy strategist and author.

Established in July 2022 under the leadership of Shri Jayant Sinha, the council currently includes over 30 decision-makers from PE-VC funds and LPs.
Pratibha Jain expressed her commitment to leading the council during a time of significant environmental challenges, aligning efforts with India’s ambitious target of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2070. She emphasized the council’s goal to catalyze investments in climate technologies and foster innovation for a greener future.
The IVCA’s Climate and Sustainability Council aims to unite key stakeholders to address gaps in climate finance in India. Future projects will involve collaboration with regulatory bodies and think tanks like NITI Aayog and the G20, advocating for effective climate policies. The council plans to publish research, white papers, and reports to provide key insights and strategic recommendations.
