DK Shivakumar dismisses Karnataka CM change talk

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Friday reiterated that there is no change in the state's leadership, firmly stating that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will continue in his role.
His comments come amidst persistent speculation over the possibility of him replacing Siddaramaiah as Karnataka's Chief Minister.
Shivakumar, addressing media queries, stressed that the matter had already been clarified and there was no need to repeatedly raise the same question.
"The answer has already been given by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala. When an answer has been provided, it is not good to speak again and again. Asking the same thing repeatedly is also not right," he said.
"I don't want to make any comment now; it's unnecessary," he added.
Responding specifically to some Congress MLAs reportedly demanding that he be given the Chief Minister's post, Shivakumar said such remarks were bound to arise but do not warrant serious attention.
