Dengue spike in Haryana: Panchkula records 1,300 of 5,600 cases

In the wake of the prevailing scenario, if no additional steps are taken to prevent dengue, a terrible situation can arise in the state. In this row, it is pertinent to mention that about one-third of the total cases have been reported in Panchkula district of the state so far, which shows the gravity of the situation.

Apart from this, dengue cases are being reported continuously in many districts falling on the GT Road belt, due to which the situation has become worrying. Hisar and Panchkula have become hot spots of dengue. Among the most affected districts are Hisar, Panchkula, Gurugram, Panipat, Karnal, Rewari, Sonipat, and Kurukshetra.

According to the departmental data, about half a dozen districts of the state including Panchkula and Hisar are among the districts where a continuous increase in dengue cases is being recorded. So far, 1300 cases have been reported in Panchkula, 517 in Hisar, 479 in Karnal, 449 in Sonipat, 369 in Rewari, 291 in Panipat, and 260 in Kurukshetra. The rest have come up in other districts.
