Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) witnessed a significant surge in the number of passengers travelling through the airport, with over 13.4 million total passengers travelling in the first quarter (Q1) of the financial year (FY) 2024, an increase of over 7 per cent compared to the same period of last year. Around 3.7 million people travelled internationally and 9.7 million on domestic routes, as per Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), which operates the CSMIA. In Q1 FY2024-25, CSMIA recorded passenger traffic surpassing 13.46 million, reflecting an increase of over 7% compared to Q1 FY2023-24 (12.49 million).
