BJP charts course to revive fortunes in Maharashtra after electoral setback

Reeling from a drastic reduction in its seat tally in Maharashtra, dropping from 23 in 2019 to just nine in the latest elections, the BJP has unveiled an ambitious plan to reconnect with voters through a comprehensive outreach campaign named "Ghar Ghar Chalo Abhiyan" (Let's go to every household campaign).

This initiative was part of a series of decisions made during a recent meeting of the party's state leadership aimed at analysing the election results and planning ahead for the upcoming Assembly elections. With the state Assembly polls looming later this year, the BJP has strategised a multi-pronged approach to reinforce its standing and convince voters about the achievements of both the Central and state governments. The campaign intends to specifically target communities such as Dalits, tribals, and Marathas, which showed signs of shifting allegiance away from the party during the recent parliamentary elections.
