The Indian tycoon has recouped a significant portion of his wealth following a brief downturn triggered by a short-seller assault in early 2023. As of Wednesday, Adani’s net worth increased by $2.7 billion to reach $100.7 billion, marking its highest point since Hindenburg Research leveled accusations of “brazen” market manipulation and fraud against his Adani Group—claims vehemently refuted by the conglomerate.
Shares of his flagship Adani Enterprises Ltd. rose for an eighth day Wednesday following an earnings report last week that showed a 130 per cent surge in profit. He’s now the 12th-richest person in the world, just one spot behind his compatriot, Mukesh Ambani, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
