Manila fire leaves 200 families homeless

A massive fire hit a residential area in Sampaloc, Manila, shortly after midnight on Wednesday, July 2, destroying 70 homes and affecting 200 families
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at the corner of M. Dela Fuente Street and Firmeza Street in Barangay 448, Zone 44 at 12:31 a.m.
The responding fire units arrived within two minutes, but the fire quickly escalated, prompting a 4th alarm alert by 12:54 a.m.
