Female rider hurt as PNR train hits motorcycle

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - A 27-year-old female rider was injured after being hit by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train at the PNR Crossing on Bypass Road, Barangay Bucal, here on Tuesday, Aug. 19 Police identified the victim as Abegail.
Investigation said the victim's motorcycle suddenly crossed the railroad and was hit by the train.
The victim was thrown almost three meters away and sprawled unconsious on the side of the tracks.
She sustained serious injuries and taken to a hospital in Los Banos City, Laguna.
The motorcycle was completely destroyed and dragged by the train several meters away.
A representative of the PNR and brother-in-law of the victim have met to discuss a settlement.
