Embattled Royal AM president and businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize has exposed the salaries of her club’s players in a bid to punch holes in the argument the PSL advanced to expel her team from the league.

Mkhize has applied for an urgent court order in the Johannesburg High Court to declare unlawful and set aside the PSL's decision to expel her club from the lucrative tier.

One of the reasons cited by the PSL for the dismissal was that the club failed to honour its fixtures, insinuating that it failed to do so due to self-inflicted financial constraints.

Mkhize rubbished the claim, saying that despite the PSL's illegitimate suspension of the R2.3-million grant to the team, which was enough to pay salaries of the players and other operational costs, she still could afford to pick up the tab for the salary bill.
