Daniel Conroy

Daniel Conroy has been jailed for almost three years following the ordeal in May 2025.

Ian West, prosecuting, said that shortly after midnight a call was made to police by the then-couple's neighbour saying he could hear a disturbance going on in the flat.

Police did not attend but, hours later, after 3am, Conroy's girlfriend called police saying the neighbour had been "threatening her and going through the letterbox".

Officers didn't attend again and, at 5.29am, a third call was made, this time by Conroy.

In a video recorded interview with police after she had been treated in hospital, the woman told officers Conroy had attacked her.
