Old Trafford chiefs fear that Amorim will go if the United boss feels he can't turn it around

MANCHESTER UNITED bosses still fear that Ruben Amorim could walk out.

This is despite seeing his team salvage a huge win over Burnley thanks to captain Bruno Fernandes’ injury-time penalty.

United secured their first victory of the new season in a dramatic finale just as newly-promoted Burnley looked set to deliver another devastating blow to the beleaguered boss.

Reds chiefs remain steadfast in their belief that Amorim can turn around the team.

But the 40-year-old needs to control the erratic behaviour that has become a cause for concern.

Talk was rife inside Old Trafford in the aftermath of the seismic Carabao Cup defeat at Grimsby on Wednesday night (above) that Amorim might be ready to walk away during the international break regardless of the result against Burnley.
