I'm aiming to beat Bill Roache's Corrie record

CORONATION Street legend Bill Roache had better watch his back as his screen granddaughter is already eyeing up his world record.

Elle Mulvaney, 22, has played Amy Barlow for 15 years but hopes to be in the ITV soap for the long haul.

She started on the show at seven years old and has just celebrated 15 years on the cobbles.

But she still has a long way to go beat 93-year-old Bill's world record of 65 years playing Ken Barlow, making him the world record holder for the longest-serving TV star in a continuous role.

Elle says: "It's quite the challenge to beat. I am young enough. It must be incredible to be here 65 years. All the stories he must have done and all the people he must have met."
