City legend Dickov salutes the Norwegian beast: We know Erling has the skill and the goals, but his mentality to be the very best is why no one can stop him... wherever he goes!

- BY CONNOR O'NEILL

ERLING HAALAND has been in sensational form - and all because he's got the beast mentality to be better than everyone else.

The 25-year-old striker has been immense this season, and instrumental in helping Manchester City close the gap on leaders Arsenal in the Premier League.

Haaland has scored 30 goals in 19 appearances all told for club and country in the current campaign.

His midweek double in the 4-1 defeat of Estonia all-but guaranteed Norway's automatic qualification for the next year's World Cup in North America. They have not been to a World Cup since France 1998.

Haaland's 53 goals in just 47 appearances for the Norwegians makes him his national side's record scorer.

And at the Etihad, his club boss Pep Guardiola could not happier with the 6ft 5in forward's unplayable form.

Former City forward Paul Dickov (right) believes that Haaland's mentality is second to none, and the reason why he continues pushing to be the best.
