IT'S the time of the year for chocolate, roast lamb, school holidays and, of course, the Easter Bunny.

TOP OF THE HOPS

The giant mythical rabbit has been delivering eggs for centuries.

But not all bunnies are lovely, cute and created by Disney with big innocent eyes and floppy ears.

Some are more rebellious. Here are 10 of the world's best-known alternative rabbits.

WALLACE & GROMIT'S WERE-RABBIT

Cracking film, Gromit! Nick Park's animated comedy horror The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is another triumph for the inventor and his bright doggy sidekick. The were-rabbit is a giant monstrous bunny who devours people's vegetables and our heroes must stop it. It features tons of jokes about carrots and smelly cheeses. Bun fact: The film required 2.8 tons of Plasticine in 42 colours and 1000 babywipes a week to wipe it off animators' fingers.
